Senior Photoshop Retouching Artist

DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Photoshop Retouching Artist will be responsible for high-quality image editing, retouching, and compositing to meet the creative and technical standards of various projects. The role requires expertise in digital image manipulation and an eye for detail to enhance visual storytelling in advertising, photography, e-commerce, and other creative industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Image Retouching:
    • Perform advanced retouching of images, including color correction, skin smoothing, background cleanup, and object removal.
    • Maintain natural aesthetics while enhancing the overall quality of images.
  2. High-End Compositing:
    • Combine multiple image elements to create seamless compositions.
    • Add effects and integrate assets as per project requirements.
  3. Color Grading & Correction:
    • Adjust and grade images to ensure consistency and alignment with the creative vision.
    • Develop color palettes and enhance tonal quality.
  4. Creative Collaboration:
    • Work closely with photographers, art directors, and clients to understand project briefs and creative goals.
    • Provide input and suggestions to elevate the overall visual impact of projects.
  5. File Preparation & Output:
    • Ensure images are optimized for various outputs, including web, print, and digital displays.
    • Maintain organized file structures and backups.
  6. Quality Control:
    • Review and refine images to meet the highest standards of quality and detail.
    • Ensure all deliverables are accurate and align with client expectations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and related software.
  • Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and photographic principles.
  • Expertise in retouching for various industries such as fashion, beauty, advertising, and product photography.
  • Knowledge of non-destructive editing workflows and advanced masking techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering flawless work.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Photography, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in high-end retouching or post-production.

WORK SAMPLES
  • Portfolio of work samples demonstrating modelling, lighting, and rendering skills in 3ds Max and Arnold/vray/corona/ is required.
